This is my Professional Inquiry Blog, (to see our classroom blog visit pesvogt@blogspot.co.nz )

I teach all Pt England classes from Year 1 to 6. Classes visit the Makerspace fortnightly to learn through hands-on activities and projects that relate to their topics in the classroom and school.

I also teach extension classes and groups with students from Year 1 to 8 . This year includes Robotics, working with clay, ,Coding and Gardening.

I have been teaching for the last ten years , as a classroom teacher and as an art educator.

I am interested in how art, design and technology enhances critical and creative thinking across the curriculum as well as providing endless opportunities for self and community expression.

About the Pt England Maker Space

The Pt England Maker Space Kaupapa is woven from:

Having Fun, Learning, Creating, Making and Sharing and Respect.

The Maker Space room provides students time and an area to for children at Pt England to explore and learn through hands-on creativity. We are part of the world wide Maker Movement *.

Using modern technologies as well as traditional skills and materials, students use the Maker Space and its resources to design, create and innovate!
